Travel inside Bangkok:
By BTS Skytrain
Bangkok Mass Transit System or BTS started operating on 5th December 1999. There are currently two routes; the Sukhumvit Line and the Silom Line which connect Bangkok’s major shopping areas, leading hotels and tourist places for a comfortable journey.
Skytrain fares cost between 10 THB and 40 THB per person depending on the distance. There is no timetable, but the trains go very frequently, about every 5 minutes or so. And they run every day from 6 am to midnight

By Taxi
Taxis are metered and they charged a minimum of 35 THB for the first kilometer and approx. 5 THB/km after that. A surcharge is applied in traffic jams (1.50 THB/m). So when there's not much traffic at night, they're definitely the best way of getting around.
Express way if needed, the passengers are requested to pay for between 25 and 45 THB.
By Tuk-Tuk
Riding on a Tuk Tuk, a unique Thailand motorised three wheels ‘taxi’ which gets its name from the sound of its engine. It is just popular for a short journey. Fares always have to be bargained in advance. The initial price they quote is likely to be well over the going rate, but it's easy to bargain it down to a more reasonable one if you know roughly the equivalent taxi fare. Minimum fare is 30 THB for up to 3 kilometers.
By Boat
Chao Phra Ya Express Boat Company provide daily boat service along the Chao Phra Ya river. The ticket runs between 10 THB and 32 THB according to the distance. Boats seem to come around every 15 minutes, start at 5.30 am and the last boat leaves each end at 6 pm.
Ferry crossing river boat service at each pier costing 2-3 THB.
Motorised long tailed- boats with roof regularly are arranged for Klong [ canal ] tour. You will find at major tourist piers and hire them as private boat for different chosen routes. Price is between 600-1,200 THB for 1 hour tour.
