CHIANG MAI
It is not surprising that Chiang Mai appears in the world’s Top Ten cities as listed in the “World’s Best City” by Travel & Leisure magazine, while Bangkok was voted No. 1 in 2008 and again in 2010.

Chiang Mai’s rich history stretches back 700 years, to the time of King Mengrai - the founder of the royal capital of the Lanna Kingdom (millions of rice fields).
Chiang Mai means the “new city” and is located in Northern Thailand, about 720 km from Bangkok. Chiang Mai is blessed with magnificent mountains and a pristine landscape, covering an area of approximately 20,000 square km and is home to over 1.5 million people.
Chang Mai has so much to offer: its ancient Lanna style temple [or Wat], natural attractions like its exotic waterfalls, an adventurous elephant ride and forest trekking, the unique hill tribes, not to mention some of the most elaborate handicrafts of silver, silk and wood carvings and intricate souvenirs in Thailand. Chiang Mai is a place where you will find accommodation catering to all travellers, from those on limited budgets to those wishing the very best resort style accommodation.

Chiang Mai has many return visitors, bearing witness to the satisfaction experienced by travellers who come to this exotic place, with its wonderful hospitality and friendly smiles.
